We've been having a long think about whether to run a Black Friday promotion.
As a small business working with English manufacturers and paying a generous royalty to our artists, we can't compete with large companies who manufacture overseas. Encouraging unnecessary spur of the moment purchases by discounting for Black Friday doesn't sit very well with us as a business as we know that this has a negative impact on the environment. We're really hoping that giving our Black Friday discount to help others will be a win win situation benefitting everyone.'
So we're reclaiming Black Friday and donating rather than discounting our products.
We know that you all have beautiful homes and we hope that you will jump at the chance to help those less fortunate.
Charity Homeless Street Angels came to our attention when we read about how they helped a former rough sleeper turn his life around, start a new job and apply for University.
Homeless Street Angels are a young charity based in Leeds with a hands on approach that has already made a difference.
They believe that homeless and marginalised individuals are capable of change and will only achieve their full potential when offered a safe, supportive, empowering and non-judgemental environment – it is their vision to provide such an environment and meaningful activities which will help reverse the spiral of homelessness.
The Monkey Puzzle Tree will be donating 20% of their website takings to charity Homeless Street Angels from Friday 29th November to Monday 2nd December as well as offering free postage with the code DONATE20.
